FORCE Cancer Charity has now been in existence for 23 years funding research, equipment and, since 2004, the FORCE Cancer Support Centre on site at the RD&E in Exeter. The Centre offers a relaxing supportive environment where people can access a full range of advice, support and information under one roof. Last year we recorded over 13,000 visits to the Centre.In addition to supportive care, and the purchase of important equipment to improve treatment, FORCE remains committed to local cancer research. FORCE funds research within the Peninsula Medical School which is currently focussed on lung and ovarian cancers. In an increasingly global world, FORCE focuses on local people, offering help and support – face to face. The reality is that everyone knows someone affected by cancer and if they live in this area, their treatment will almost certainly have been advanced by the work of FORCE.
All of our funds come from voluntary contributions. If you are able to take part in a fund-raising event then you will be helping us to help others through very difficult times.
