Kids Inspire

Kids Inspire help disadvantaged young people turn their lives around to give them back their future.

They support young people across Essex who are at an educational, social and/or economic disadvantage resulting from trauma or emerging mental health issues. For example they may have experienced sexual or domestic abuse, separation anxiety or significant loss.

Many young people are referred to Kids Inspire because other support agencies consider them ‘too complex’ to help. Thanks to the specialist services they are able to offer, Kids Inspire has assisted Social Care in closing numerous cases.

Kids Inspire provide disadvantaged young people, their parents and young carers (siblings) a bespoke service package consisting of:

  • Individual therapy (e.g. clinically proven counselling, Arts Psychotherapy, complementary therapies and talking therapy). This service accounts for 60% of provision.* Coaching (support to improve emotional health and mental well being)
  • Mentoring (support and guidance on a one-to-one basis, provided by trained volunteers)
  • Group work (e.g. Kids Who Lunch Club during the school holidays for children entitled to free school meals; Dramatherapy and Filmmaking)

Why don’t you complete a tandem skydive in aid of Kids Inspire?

This year’s Kids Inspire tandem event is with the

Red Devils Army Parachute Display team

on Tuesday 21 May 2019 at Langar Airfield near Nottingham

Book to join this event by visiting our booking page.  You will need to select the date 21 May 2019 and select KidsInspire as your charity.

The full cost of a Red Devil tandem skydive is £300. You can either pay for your own jump and raise as much money as you can.  Or you can use fundraising to pay towards your jump.

To pay towards your jump with fundraising; you will need to pay your own booking fee which is £100; this is your contribution to your jump cost and should not be taken from fundraising money.  Then you will need to raise a minimum of £500 fundraising money by 21 April 2019 and the charity will pay for your jump balance of £200 from that money.   Please note; if you do not reach your fundraising target you will need to pay your own jump balance.

There are weight restrictions when tandem skydiving you can read more about this by visiting our height and weight limits page

If you prefer you can book a jump at a location of your choice on a date of your choice or you can join one of the other Red Devil tandem skydive events.

Again you can either pay for your own jump and then raise as much money as you can for the charity or if you would like to use some fundraising to pay for part of your jump you will need to pay your own booking fee of £50 (The booking fee if jumping with the Red Devils is £100). Then as long as you raise a minimum of £500 fundraising one month before your jump date the balance of your jump cost can be taken from your fundraising.  – Do note, if you do not reach your target you will be expected to pay for your jump balance.
